Akuku-Toru, Rivers State, 20th October 2024 - Hon. (Barr.) Lolo Isaiah Opuende, the Legislator representing Akuku-Toru Constituency II in the Rivers State House of Assembly, has expressed his profound gratitude to the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (F.C.T), Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Wike, CON, DSSRS, POS Africa, Life Bencher, for hosting a surprise Luncheon in honour of him and 26 other lawmakers on Saturday, 19th October 2024.
Speaking to journalists, Abraham Ebini, the SA on Media to Hon. Opuende, conveyed the Legislator's appreciation for the gesture, stating that the Honourable Minister's action demonstrates his commitment to supporting and nurturing political leaders within the state.
"Hon. Lolo Isaiah Opuende is deeply grateful to the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Wike, for hosting this Luncheon in honour of him and his colleagues. The Legislator sees this as a testament to the Minister's leadership qualities and his desire to mentor and empower political representatives in Rivers State," Ebini said.
The Media Aide further noted that the Legislator described the Honourable Minister as a leader worthy to follow, commending his unwavering support for the development of the state and its political class.
